WTF!?! Award

2023 WTF!?! Award

Yes that is what you think it is, the What the F#@$! Award

We want to hear the absurd and bizarre occurrences that have happened in Queensland parks this year!

We know all parks have WTF! moments every week – this is a chance to share these experiences, have a laugh at other people’s stories and for those who are new to the industry, a chance to realise that you are not alone in the craziness that is operating a caravan park.

All stories will be published anonymously leading in to the presentation of the award and a final winner selected without letting other parks know which story belonged to which finalist, let the rumours begin.

2022 WTF!?! Award Winner

Who needs a plasterer?

We recently had a guest in one of our new cabins complain because the power point on the floor in the bunk room did not work!

We were puzzled as every other point/light/switch worked perfectly!

We called our electrician to come out and find out why it was not working, he informed us that the power point was not the brand used by our cabin manufacturer or by him and was in fact the cheapest power point you can get from bunnings.

The mystery deepens as we have another cabin identical that does not have a power point in the same place…

The electrician after testing the point removed it and found no wires going to it, the hole was in fact the size of a small human's foot.

It appears rather than face the music, a previous guest has gone to bunnings and screwed a power point over the hole they have made as not to alert us and be charged a repair fee.
